Some of the Formula 1 main title protagonists have complained about the new Pirelli tyres.
World champion Sebastien Vettel said "The problem is that degrade too quickly. By lap 16 or 17, they're falling apart which could push drivers up 10 or more seconds a lap off the pace."
He also said that it is wrong to suggest that sensitive drivers like Jenson Button will benefit the most from the severe degradation. The problem is after a certain amount of laps the tyre is finished no matter what the driver does."
2005 and 2006 champion Fernando Alonso said "The hard tyres degrade just as quickly as the softs."
Force India's Adrian Sutil has also had his say by describing the cars handling like a touring car or driving on intermediates when the hard/soft tyres have severe wear.
