Football round up

Champions league- Lyon 1 - 1 Real Madrid- Lyon scored an late goal as they denied Real Madrid the won. The substitute Benzema scored the first goal from a Sergio Ramos header which hit the bar and Benzema had an easy tap in. But Gomis spoiled the party in France as he scored an close range volley at the 83rd min.

There is two more matches in the champions league tonight. Marseille v Man Utd as Man U look to complete the quartet of English clubs victory in the champions League while Marseille will look to take home advantage as there home is famous for its passionate fans.

The other champions league match is Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich. This should be a really close match and either team on the day can take this. My money is on Inter to get through but the holders will have a tough match and it would not surprise me that Bayern can do a shock.

There is also Prem match as Arsenal vs Stoke. Arsenal will look to cut the gap to 1 point to Man U lead. For Stoke a victory tonight will get them closer to survival. They could move as high as 8th tonight.

Given- Bad news for the experienced goalkeeper as he has been ruled out with an shoulder injury for 3 months. He will miss Republic of Ireland matches. Stuart Taylor will be the deputy to Hart. Given will be desperate to be fit before the end of the season as The Europea cup final will be held in Dublin. David Gonzales will prob be recalled from Leeds to be the third choice goalkeeper.

Wales- Wales have announced that they have sold out Euro 2012 qualifier against England. All 69,000 tickets for Gary Speed's first home match on the 26th March. The last time Wales had a full stadium at Millennium Stadium at football was 5 and a half years ago and that was against England as well when Joe Cole scored the only goal in that night.

Liverpool- Kenny Dalglish has denied reports that Andy Carroll is ready to play his first match against West Ham. He is training with the team but still isnt fit enough to be in the squad. In order Liverpool news Steven Gerrard is getting closer to fitness as well and Kenny will make a late decision weather he is fit enough to make his return against Sparta Prague.

Arsenal- Arsenal are likely to recall Aaron Ramsey. He has one more week left in his deal with Cardiff and despite Cardiff's best attempts to keep him Wenger has conformed that he is returning and he will come back after the match against Hull at the weekend.
