Other cricket World Cup News

Ricky Ponting- Ponting is facing an ICC fine after he allegedly damaged a television set in the dressing room after he was run out against Zimbabwe. The BCCI (Indian Cricket Board) reported this to them after Officials at the world cup venue accused Ponting of causing the damage. The ICC will formally inform him on Wednesday when the Australian team arrive at Nagpur on Wednesday.

Mumbai- Mumbai stadium which had failed an fire inspection has now got the go-ahead to host the final. Last week they were not happy with the fire equipment not there like water hydrants, alarms and extinguishers but now the problem has been solved. Mumbai will be hosting 2 group matches and will be hosting the final on the 2nd of April.

Jacques Kallis- The experienced all rounder Kallis has conformed that he is 100% fit. So he will play in the opening match against the West Indies on Thursday.

Mohammad Asif- He has said he wants to clear his name. He is banned for 5 years at the moment. His former teammate Butt has been cleared by ICC to work for local TV as a world cup pundit.

Bangladesh- Bangladesh are considering bringing back Mohammad Ashraful into the team for the second match against Ireland on Friday.

and finally- Imran Tahir has been described as "Premiership footballer in disguise". He does this sallow dive when he takes a wicket his coach has said.
