Prem game- In the only Prem league game of the weekend West Brom 1 - 1 Wolverhampton. Jamie O'Hara gave them a lead with a stunning curling shot. Wolves did well enough to win the game but mistake by Hennessey near the end of the game allowed Vela to score a re bound shot which gave West Brom an valuable point. It means Wolves stay bottom on 25 points and West Brom stay 4th from bottom with 28 points.
Man U- Giggs the ever youthful midfield has signed a new contract with the Man U to stay for another 12 months. The 37 year old is delighted saying "It is great to know I'm contributing to the team's success. I feel I've still got a lot to offer,". He is the only player to play in all the prem league season since it started in 1990. His manager has expressed his delight and said the youth can take inspiration from him saying "His experience is so vital for the younger players in the squad"
Another player who has signed his long term future at Man U is Evra. There were speculations that he was planning to move to Real Madrid in the summer but he but an end to that by signing a contract till the year 2014. His manager has expressed his delight saying "Patrice is unquestionably one of the world's best left-backs". Evra said "I've won a lot in the last five years, but I want to win more and I know that's the mentality of everyone here."
Not so good news for Man U is that Park will be out for at least 4 weeks by picking up an hamstring injury. He has been away at the Asian Cup so Man U havnt been able to use him too much. On better news Valencia is back in training and he could return by March.
Spurs- Spurs will not have to face Gattuso in the second leg as he has been banned for 4 matches as he headbutted the assistant manager of Spurs Joe Jordon. Ac Milan have accepted the punishment and will not appeal against this judgement.
Man city- second choice goalkeeper Given might need surgery on his shoulder. If he is to have surgery then Taylor will become the number 2 for Man City.
