Other football round up

Liverpool- Christian Purslow has stepped down from his role as non-executive director. He has left his role as managing director after NESV (New England Sports Ventures) brought the club in the summer for 300 million. He said "Now Liverpool is in excellent shape for the future, and in safe hands, it is time for me to concentrate fully on other business interests,"

League Cup final- The Wembley Stadium pitch is in the right condition according to the man who is in charge of Wembley. In the past the pitch has come in for criticism including from Sir Alex and Harry Redknapp. This is crucial for Wembley to get this right as they will be watched the UFEA as the champions League final will also be held there.

Bale- Harry Redknapp has said that Bale is closing in on his fitness. He says the hope is that he will be fit for the match against AC Milan. He is expected to make return to training tomorrow as the Spurs team travel to Dubai to get some training done in warmer climates.

Ameobi- Ameobi is also closing in on a return as he has been fitted an protective mask and the hope is that he will be fit within 2 weeks. This will be a timely boost as Newcastle try and get that final push to safety.

and finally Everton have completed the signing of the young Swedish center back. He is a player that Everton wanted to sign last year but they couldnt as he was under 17 now he has turned 17 they have signed him up.
