They will be playing at home knowing there own conditions and also have the fans on there side. England have been the most inconsistant team in the world cup. They have had brilliant victories against the South African's the West Indies and an thrilling tie with India but lost to Ireland and Bangladesh and scrapping past the Netherlands but the team have fight and spirt. They also know if the game is tight they have the believe that they can win it by winning tight matches throughout the world cup. England will feel they have an chance if they can put in an good batting, bowling and fielding performance together for the first time in this world cup. Sri Lanka will be favorites but England should not be ruled out.

The other quarter final between Pakistan and West Indies is an hard one to predict. On there day these 2 teams can beat anyone but other days they play terribly. Pakistan did brilliantly to beat Australia and Sri Lanka but struggled against Canada and New Zealand. For the West Indies them beating an top side seems to be an struggle. They were in good positions against England and India but there batting feel apart in both and lost. But they have good memories in Dhaka after trashing Bangladesh here where Bangladesh made 58 and the West Indies won by 9 wickets. I think Pakistan will have too much in the end but it could easily go the other way.

The final quarter final is South Africa vs New Zealand. South Africa have been very impressive throughout the world cup beating the co-hosts India and Bangladesh really well and taking apart the smaller nations. New Zealand have been up and down in this world cup. They beat the smaller nations easily but struggled against the bigger ones. They played really well against Pakistan but were outplayed against Australia and Sri Lanka. On New Zealand's day they can beat anyone. South Africa have this "chocker" label on them and if the game is tight it will be interesting how South Africa respond. I think South Africa will have too much for New Zealand but the conditions in Dhaka might suit the New Zealand bowlers better.
