Premier League Darts week 5 Manchester review

Terry Jenkins 8-4 Mark Webster

Terry Jenkins picked up his first win since the opening week with an 8-4 victory against Mark Webster.

Jenkins had lost his last three matches since a comeback against Raymond van Barneveld, but atoned with an excellent display against Webster, who failed to reproduce the form which see him hit an 110 average against Adrian Lewis a week ago.

Jenkins hit a 98.18 average, six 180's and a highest finish of 104 with Webster hitting a 90.91 average (20 points lower than last week), three 180's and a highest finish of 77.

Phil Taylor 8-6 Gary Anderson

Phil Taylor edged a dramatic clash with Gary Anderson to draw level with the Scot at the top of the table.

Anderson entered their clash on a high after winning all four games previously, but was left to rue missed doubles in the penultimate leg.

Taylor was still not playing 100% but he still hit a103.95 average, four 180's and a highest score of 85. Anderson was not far behind with a 99.16 average, 4 180's and a highest finish of 43.

Raymond van Barneveld 8-2 James Wade

Raymond van Barneveld stormed to his third win of the season by thrashing 2009 champion James wade 8-2 last night.

The Dutch ace made an ideal reply to last weeks defeat to Phil Taylor in Exeter with a polished display against under-par Wade

Wade begun brightly by winning the opening leg on double top, but paid for not scoring heavily enough as van Barneveld won 8 of the next 9 legs to claim the points

van Barneveld match stats was a 96.49 average, 3 180's and a highest finish of 107. Wade could only manage a 90.95 average and is the only player this season so far not to score a 180 but he did manage a 136 finish.

Adrian Lewis 8-2 Simon Whitlock

Adrian Lewis produced a performance of a world champion to power past Simon Whitlock 8-2 to claim his second win of the season.

The Stoke superstar hit 8 from 11 attempts at a double in a clinical display to see off the Australian, hitting 3 ton-plus in the process averaging 102.

That saw him bounce back from last weeks lost by the same scoreline to a red hot Mark Webster in style, and included a seven leg winning streak as he ended a three match losing run.

League table Pts +/-
Gary Anderson 8 +17
Phil Taylor 8 +10
R v Barneveld 6 +6
Adrian Lewis 4 +2
Mark Webster 4 -3
S Whitlock 4 -4
Terry Jenkins 4 -11
