Premier review

Its another big week of the Barclays Premier League as the fight for League title, Champion League, Europe and fight for survival hots up.

Liverpool vs Man Utd- After the loss to Chelsea mid week the title race has really hotted up. Man U only 4 points ahead of Arsenal with playing one more match so a slip up now could see their lead cut out. For Liverpool its all about to having a strong end to the season as there hopes of getting top 4 has all but gone after losing West Ham last week and Chelsea winning against Man U. I think Sir Alex wants an reaction and will be up for this match. Liverpool will want to a strong end to the season as Kenny is looking to get the job so I can see this being 1-1 draw.

Arsenal vs Sunderland- After mix result in cup matches this week they play an big match against Sunderland. It is a big match because Man U slipped up mid week and this is an opportunity for Arsenal to put real pressure on Man U. Sunderland will go into this match full of confidence as they have piratically got them selves safe and are still on for a top 6 finish which would be an great achievement for Bruce. Because Arsenal are playing at home I think they will have too much for Sunderland and I predict an 3-1 victory.

Blackpool vs Chelsea- Chelsea kept there slim hopes alive in still winning the title as they beat Man U at the weekend. Chelsea know another slip up and probably the title race is over for them so they have to back that performance with an victory here at Blackpool. Blackpool have played really entertaining football all season but they have been slowly been moving down the league as they have gone on a bit of a losing streak. How big that victory against Spurs is only time will tell. They will be missing Adam for another match as he surviving a 2 match suspension for his yellow cards this season. Blackpool looked lost without him when they lost badly to Wolves so for that reason I will go for 1-3 to Chelsea.

Man City vs Wigan- Man City are not out of the title hunt but it still quite improbable. I think it is more realistic to expect Man City finishing top 4 and try and go for the 2 cups they are still in Europa League and The FA cup. I think Man City are still 2-3 seasons out before they are ready to win an Premier League Title. For Wigan they have had a worrying fall over the last few weeks where they have struggled to get points. With West Ham and Wolves win they have gone right to the bottom of the pack. I do fear their time in this league is up unless they start getting results soon. I cant see anything else than a Man City win. 4-0.

Birmingham vs West Brom- As derbies goes for fight for survival goes it doesnt get bigger than this. These are 2 teams who are fighting for there Premiership survival they are just both above the drop zone. It will be interesting how Birmingham react to there final victory. If they have an hangover West Brom have the quality of players to make them pay. If they fight like they did against Arsenal I can only see one winner. West Brom have been solid under new manager Roy Hodgson as they have scraped for there points they have got. They will have to do again here. I think it will be a fierce derby an close one but with Birmingham having home advantage I will go for Birmingham to come out on top 2-1.


West Ham vs Stoke- West Ham are on the back of a really good victory against Liverpool. They showed really good fight and desire to beat Liverpool. Stoke are slowly but surely getting themselves safe as they are crawling towards the line. They cant get complaisant though. West Ham have a really good front line which is full of goals and they can use the home matches to use that to there advantage. They also expect there inspirational captain to be fit Parker which is an big boost. I think West Ham have it within themselves to win this 3-1 again.

Wolverhampton vs Tottenham- Wolves won an crutual match last week against Blackpool. For a small amount of time they were outside the bottom 3 because of West Brom draw they are back in there. But it mentally encouraging for them. Spurs are fighting to be in next years champion League as they try to beat Chelsea to that 4th place but they might have one eye on there Champion League match this week against AC Milan. This is a tough one to decide. I think there will be late drama and Wolves will pull off a 2-1 victory.

Bolton vs Aston Villa- These are two teams which have pulled them selves out of trouble since the middle part of the season. Bolton started off the season really well had an tough Christmas period but have pulled it back to relative safety even still on for a top6 finish. For Aston Villa they have spend there way out of trouble. They have brought Bent and Bradley and couple of others on top of the young talent and there super stars of Young, Downing and Friedel. Aston Villa are still need one more positive result to be safe but I think the score will be 2-2.

Newcastle vs Everton- A few weeks ago Newcastle were in really trouble but a string of strong performances have got them to relative safety. They have been the most unpredictable club to watch and predict how they will do. Everton have also been a yoyo club this season where on there day they can beat anyone too often it isnt there day and is the reason they are still fighting off relegation. I do expect Everton to be safe. I can see this game being 1-1.

Fulham vs Blackburn- These are 2 solid premiership teams which there goal each season is to stay in this league. Even though they have had there troubles this season I believe both teams will survive. They are both dangerously close to the drop zone 3 points ahead both teams are so a victory will get them close so safety. My prediction is a 0-0. Too much at stake for both to go all out attack.
