Other sports news

Rugby- After another exciting round of 6 nations rugby Chabal the French Legend thinks that the match between England and France will be the "title decider". Both teams have won there first 2 matches. England winning at Cardiff and tearing Italy away at Twickenham 59-13. As France won impressively against Scotland and hung on against Ireland 22-25. They meet in a week and a half time at Twickenham.

Cycling- Alberto Contador has been cleared of doping charges after winning his appeal against his 1 year ban. His argument was that the reason he failed a drugs test was because contaminated meat was responsible so he was cleared of knowingly using banned drugs and will therefore take part in the Tour of Algarve from Wednesday. But The sport's governing body do have the right to appeal if they want to.

Tennis- Justine Henin has said ending her playing career she is in mourning. Elbow injury has forced her to retire again through doctors advice. Her fellow country women has just gone into world number 1 as she went on a run which saw her to the final of Paris open. In other tennis news Keothavong and Watson have made there way to round 2 of the Memphis open. But Baltacha is out of the Dubai Championships in the first round.

Football- Scotland have arranged an friendly with Brazil on the 27th of March at the Emirates Stadium. Blackburn Phil Jones has signed a new long term contract with Blackburn till 2016. This follows recent contract signings by Samba, Salgado, Roberts and Bunn.

Golf- Tiger Woods has apologised for Spitting. He will now have to pay a fine he breached the European Tour's code of conduct. Fines range between 250 pounds to 10,000 pounds. On his twitter page he did say "It was inconsiderate to spit like that and I know better. Just wasn't thinking and want to say I'm sorry,". Also in other golf news Alvaro Quiros hit a hole in 1 to win the Dubai Desert Classic.

Olympic- And finally the London 2012 games schedule has been released. Dates which will be hotly fought for are like the 100m final on Sunday 5th of August or the 30 July where swimming legends Michael Phelps and Ian Thorpe could go against each other in 200m freestyle and the 2nd of August where the velodrome starts for the cycling.
