Vettel gets Valencia pole

Sebastian Vettel claimed pole position in Valencia today with teammate Mark Webber making it a Red Bull 1-2.

This is Vettel's 7th pole position of the season and personally I would not be surprised if Vettel would win tomorrows race as well.

In Q1, the usual teams and drivers was knocked out with Jaime Alguersuari's Toro Rosso being the so called "big name drop out". Felipe Massa was the fastest but he used up a set of the soft tyres.

In Q2, Pastor Maldonado stopped the session after stopping on track in the middle of a blind corner. the cause of Maldonado was unknown but a electronics problem could be the problem. Vettel was fastest with both Sauber's, both William's, Sebastian Buemi, Paul Di Resta and Vitaly Petrov dropping out.

In Q3, Vettel's pole was never in doubt with him delivering a magnificent lap, 2 tenth's ahead of Mark Webber with Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso completing the second row. Nick Heidfeld and Adrian Sutil not setting a lap time and saving a set of brand new soft tyres of tomorrows race.

The grid: P1 Vettel, P2 Webber, P3 Hamilton, P4 Alonso, P5 Button, P6 Massa, P7, Rosberg, P8 Schumacher, P9 Heidfeld, P10, Sutil, P11 Petrov, P12 Di Resta, P13 Barrichello, P14 Kobayashi, P15, Maldonado, P16 Perez, P17 Buemi, P18 Alguersuari, P19 Kovalainen, P20 Trulli, P21 Glock, P22 Liuzzi, P23 d'Ambrosio, P24 Karthikeyan
